BRIGHTON — The Brighton community began its 4th of July celebration with the kids fishing tournament held on July 1.
Kids ranging from ages 5–17 gathered at the trading post campground to try their luck at fishing in the pound located behind the store. There were kids fishing on every side of the pond despite the blanket of lily pads that covered most of it. They were trying their luck with worms, crickets, bread, and shiners with which a large bass was caught by William Bearden. (continue...)

Tommie received his bachelor of art’s degree from Florida Atlantic University in the field of marketing and management in December 2005.
