Rachel Billie Signs Modeling Contract

By Sandi McClenithan

BRIGHTON - Seminole student Rachel Billie received a modeling contract with Bailey's Model Management out of Orlando.

Rachel, 16, is a 5-feet-7 beauty and a sophomore at Okeechobee High School. She is the daughter of Steve Osceola and Rita Billie. This past July Rachel attended an interview by ProScout, an organization that serves as a headhunting group for the modeling industry. She interviewed in West Palm Beach.

Within weeks, ProScout organized an "Invitation Only" scouting weekend, providing face to face interviews with dozens of top agencies.

Ms. Billie passed this interview with flying colors. Rachel was invited to the ProScout Model & Talent invitation only; the professional industry's top-rated scouting organization. This event was held at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando.

Rachel was introduced along with approximately 800 other hopefuls to top model agencies such as Ford, Wilhemina, Age, Elite, Bailey's, LA Models and Visage, to name only a few of the 50 agencies represented. This two-day event involved runway in front of all these agencies. Rachel was a little nervous, but with her beauty and grace she prevailed.

The last day was callback, this means that the agency calls back the models they are interested in and what the market is looking for. Rachel Billie was one of 200 individuals out of 800 to be called back. Bailey's, out of Orlando, liked what they saw and requested more pictures and information.

Rachel wishes to thank Kevin and Sandi for taking her to West Palm and Orlando, and also for believing in her and being her support. She also thanks David Cypress for moral support and always being there, Dad and Mom, Max Osceola Jr., Hollywood Council Representative for sponsoring her trip to Orlando and "a big thank you," to the Chairman's office for being her sponsor from here on out!

Congratulations Rachel! We are all behind you and believe in you. You can do it!
