MIAMI - The Miccosukee Tribe of Florida Indians has won a court decision that raises the standards of water quality in the Everglades.
U.S. District Court Judge Edward B. Davis declared in a 34-page ruling that the part of the Everglades Forever Act that suspends state water quality standards, in effect, changed them. The September ruling, in support of the Tribe's suit, effectively renders this part of the EFA invalid. (continue...)
