Now Available On Compact Disc Taos, New Mexico -- Indian House is pleased to announce the release of several new CD's of traditional American Indian Music, including Yellowhammer - Live at Hollywood, Florida, recorded at the 24th Annual Seminole Powwow. Earlier this year, the independent label based in Taos, New Mexico, released its first CDS. After 29 years of producing highly-acclaimed cassettes and LPS, Indian House is now establishing itself as a significant presence in the CD market. In addition to over 125 cassettes, the Indian House . catalog presently contains eleven titles on compact disc.
Yellowhammer - Live at Hollywood, Florida (IH 2016), Southern Thunder - From the Heart - Volume 1 (11-12083), and Rose Hill - Live at Hinckley (IH 2101) are dynamic recordings of three of the finest southern-style powwow groups active today. Recorded live on a Nagra-D, 20-bit digital recorder, the CDS showcase the powerful singing and drumming of these three popular groups from Oklahoma. This past September, all three groups were commended for their outstanding performances at Schemitaun `95, the world's largest, competition powwow.
